ZEDEX® 100 family

The “little PEEK” – up to 110°C
ZX-100® has been conceived to create an “all-round polymer” family for dry running. For this reason, ZX-100® does not have any extremely disadvantageous property, as it is usually the case with extreme materials such e.g. PTFE. It does not have moisture absorption problems as PA and generally speaking, taking into consideration the temperature, it can replace lubriacated bronze in most of the applications, saving so weight, machining time & costs. It is nicknamed “little PEEK” since the modification ZX-100K has even better PV-values that PEEK upto ca. 7m/min.

When to use the family ZX-100® ?

  • Dry run applications
  • Underwater applications
  • With edge pressure, impacts, vibrations
  • When low wear and friction are required
  • For the production of welded parts
  • If FDA conformity or EU 10/2011 approval is required
(for this modification ZX-100K® or ZX-100K® blue)

When is the ZX-100® family not suitable?

  • At high temperatures
    (e.g. the family ZX-200®)
  • For strong acids, alkalis, phenols, cresols (e.g. the ZX-600® family)
  • For gamma steel and steam sterilization (limited)
    (e.g. the family ZX-200®)
  • For injection molding
(for this modification ZX-100A® or ZX-100MT®)
