ZEDEX® 324 family

As PEEK, only better – up to 250°C
The family ZX-324® is 100% virgin PEEK. Unlike commonly used PEEK, it has a higher glass transition temperature see datasheet and better ductility, consenting to reduce the machining times dramatically a customer already archieved ca. 55% time saving.

The other properties are similar to the common ones, but thanks to the use of our wide range of tubes you can save up to 70% in weight in comparison to bars, hence money see our delivery program.

When to use the family ZX-324® ?

  • At high temperatures
  • Contact with food
  • When in contact with chemicals
  • With edge pressure, impacts, vibrations
  • When low wear and friction are required (modification ZX-324V2T®)
  • If FDA conformity or EU 10/2011 approval is required (basic type ZX-324)

When is the ZX-324® family not suitable?

  • If an price-effective solution is required (for this modification ZX-324V1T®)
  • When low wear and friction are required (for this modification ZX-324V2T®)

Resistance

  • UV-radiation: use of modifi ed types in case of
    strong UV-radiation!
  • Gamma-radiation: limit absorbed dose 1200 kGy
  • Chemicals, resistant: universal resistant
  • Chemicals, not resistant: concentrated acids, sulfuric and nitric acid, bromic, sulfonic and chromium acids, halogenated hydrocarbons, sodium, chlorine, fluorine, bromine
  • Lubricants and fuels: resistant
  • Water: max. water absorption: 0,5 %
    dimensional changes: 0,15 %
    up to max. 200 °C resistant
  • Fire behaviour: oxygen index (LOI): 35 %
    classifi cation: V-0 (UL94)

  • very good wear resistance
  • low Stick-Slip tendency
  • hardened mating-part is required.
